The Outing Came Amid Wild Rumors Surrounding The Repulicans Health. Trump Sported His Go To Golf Outfit Black Pants A White Polo Shirt And His Signature Red MAGA Hat
Trump Quashes Health Rumors With Golf Outing and Granddaughter
WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump was seen on Saturday morning heading to a golf course with his granddaughter, Kai, an appearance that served to directly counter a wave of online conspiracy theories about his health. The sighting of the 79-year-old Republican follows a period of public absence that had led to widespread speculation and the viral hashtag #whereistrump.
The unfounded rumors intensified after several White House reporters noted the president hadn’t been seen in public since a Tuesday cabinet meeting, with no scheduled events for the weekend. The speculation was further fueled when Vice President J.D. Vance told USA Today he was prepared to step in if “there’s a terrible tragedy,” and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones claimed—without evidence—that the president was in a “health crisis.”

The rumors were officially put to rest by Axios journalist Barak Ravid, who reported on X that a U.S. official had confirmed the president was in good health. Ravid’s post, “Trump is OK. Will play Golf this morning,” was followed shortly by images of Trump and his granddaughter leaving the White House. For the trip to Virginia, Trump wore his characteristic golf outfit: black pants, a white polo shirt, and a red MAGA hat.

Past Health Concerns and Official Statements
This is not the first time the president’s health has been a topic of public discussion. In July, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed that the president suffers from “chronic venous insufficiency,” a common and benign condition in older adults that causes “mild swelling” in the lower legs. His physician noted that there was no evidence of any serious arterial disease.
People with this condition are often advised to exercise, elevate their legs, and may wear compression stockings, though Leavitt stated the condition wasn’t causing Trump any discomfort and that a doctor’s letter with more details would be released. The letter, however, was a reiteration of her statement.

Additionally, concerns were raised after bruising was seen on the back of Trump’s hand. His physician clarified that this was a result of “irritation from frequent handshaking and use of aspirin,” which he takes as part of a “standard cardiovascular prevention” treatment.
Despite the rumors, President Trump’s Truth Social account remained active on Friday. He issued a statement regarding a federal appeals court ruling that he had no legal right to impose certain tariffs.
“ALL TARIFFS ARE STILL IN EFFECT!” he posted. “Today a Highly Partisan Appeals Court incorrectly said that our Tariffs should be removed… If these Tariffs ever went away, it would be a total disaster for the Country.”
